Industrial ties in science and accountability - updated Thu, Mar 13, 2003
A prominent Swedish epidemiological scientist was found to have hidden industrial ties more than a year ago. Last autumn more was revealed. This was not popular, especially not with the medical establishment. The epidemiologist's outside commissions are now accounted for for the first time and shine some light on the concept of scientific integrity.
